     There are numerous activities for your enjoyment in the surrounding regions near Rabun River Cabins, in Rabun Co.  The most notable is the Tallulah Gorge, just minutes from the cabins.  The Tallulah River itself is great for fishing, tubing, etc.  Lake Rabun is also just a few minutes away, where one can enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, water-skiing, etc.  The mountains are a great place for antique hunters, with many antique and craft stores along Hwy 441.  The city of Clayton and several smaller hamlets all have wonderful shops.  There is also a large flea market in Mountain City, just a few miles north on 441.  The world famous alpine village of Helen is near-by.  The famous Dillard House, with its traditional all-you-can-eat country cooking is also not far away, as is Laprad's, a similar restaurant on Lake Burton.  There are even golf courses in the area for the golfing enthusiast.  In the surrounding mountains there are great places for backpacking, hiking, and camping, as well as white-water rafting.  The Rabun Co. Chamber of Commerce is a good place to look for activities.  The Highlands of North Carolina are only 45 minutes away, as well.
